Anthon Ulrich (Tony) Kunz, 91, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend died June 10, 1989 at Bear lake memorial Hospital Nursing Home after a long illness. Born September 22, 1897 in Bern, Idaho, the youngest son of Christian and Caroline Buehler Kunz. Married Norine Biles, September 5, 1931 in Paris, Idaho, latter solemnized in the Sal Lake LDS Temple, October 17, 1935. Tony was a successful farmer rancher in the Bear Lake Valley and sold farm machinery equipment and insurance. He held many postions in the Bern LDS Ward and served as a stake missionary three times. He was active in county politics and served as Republican Central Committeman. He served as County Commissioner and Bern School Trustee. survived by wife, Norine, Bern, Idaho; children, Harold and Barbara Kunz, Spokane, Washington; Hariet B.and Donald Tippetts, Midvale; Janet M. and Floyd Colibert, West Jordan; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Zina K. (Mrs. Orville) Cox, Shelley, Idaho. Preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters. Friends may call for viewing Wednesday evening June 14th at Matthews Mortuary, Montpelier, Idaho, 7-9 p.m. and Tursday 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at 11:00 a.m. in the Bern Ward Chapel.
