Silas Samuel Jones, 51, for six years city marshal at Bingham, and more recently a deputy sheriff of Salt Lake county, died December 24 in Los Angeles.
He is survived by his widow, Maude; his mother, Mrs. Mary Moody, of Butlerville; five brothers, W. S. Frank and Allen, of Bingham; Edward and Joseph, of Butlerville; five sisters, Mrs. Sarah Covert and Mrs. Ida Dolman, of Bingham; Mrs. Birdie Ellison, of Salt Lake; Mrs. Alice Barrett, of Murtauch, Idaho, and Mrs. Mary Staker, of Butlerville.
