Evelyn was a member at the Order of the Eastern Star in Danforth and a member of Grand Lake Grange, Weston. For many years she held municipal offices for the town of Glenwood.
She is survived by a son, Joseph D. MacDonald and is wife, Sandra of Bancroft; seven grandchildren, Robin, Evelyn Smile and her husband, Peter, Dwight MacDonald and his wife, Tracy, Scott MacDonald and his wife, Beth, all at Wallingford, Conn., Glenn MacDonald of Portland, Conn., Suzanne McKegney and her husband, Kevin at Burlington, Vt., and Carolyn Strauch and her husband, Kurt of Trappe, Md.; nine great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was predeceased by a son, Lawrence A. MacDonald; two brothers, Kenneth Bailey and Floyd Bailey; and a sister Vera Cropley.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bartlett Funeral Home in Danforth. Funeral services wll be held l0 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Lunn officiating. Interment will be in Codfish Ridge Cemetery, Glenwood. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Hodgdon Baptist Church, Hodgdon, ME 04730.
