VERA C. CROPLEY TELEPHONE OPERATOR AT DANFORTH


Vera C. Cropley, 81, died Saturday, 10-28-1995, at a Houlton health-care facility.
She was born in Wytopitlock, a daughter of Joseph and Clara (Irish) Morse. She had been employed as a telephone operator at Danforth and in Connecticut and was employed at the South Portland shipyards during World War II.

She is survived by two sons, Bernard Lancaster of Hermon and Bruce Lancaster of Mattawamkeag; a daughter, Janice Lancaster of Carmel; a sister, Evelyn MacDonald of Hodgdon; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Burial will be in Drew Cemetery, Drew.
