He was captured with his family and taken to Canada.

He converted to Catholicism and was baptized at the church in Boucherville, 29 Jun. 1708, and given the French name "Jacques Charles Stebenne".

When his father, John Stebbins wrote his will (Deerfield, 1723) he refers to his children in Canada:

Joseph, Samuel, Abigail & Thankful

No record of death (or church burial) has been found in the meticulously kept nearly complete records of Québec, nor in any Vital record in Massachusetts or New England (which are much less complete for this period).
