Glenn C. Lindsley

Glenn C. Lindsley, 92, of 3 South
St., Marcellus, died Sunday night at
Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton
after a short illness.
A native of Palermo, Oswego
County, he had lived in Marcellus
since 1917. From 1917 to 1977 he
owned and operated Lindsley's
Motor Express Co.
He was national and New York
state trap-shooting champion in the
late 1930s and early 1940s.
He was a communicant of St.
Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus.
Surviving are a son, Paul J. of
Fulton; a daughter, Sister Elizabeth
Charles, C.S.J., of Syracuse; a
brother, Alfred of Palermo; three
sisters, Florence Becker and Nellie
Cooke, both of Oswego, and Edith
Arnold of Lockport; 10 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren; two
nieces; and five nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday at Norris Funeral
Home, Marcellus, and at 11 a.m. at
St. Francis Xavier Church in Marcellus,
where the Rov. James Nicholson
will offer a Mass of Christian
Burial.Burial will be in
Assumption Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
