Anna De Flora, age 90, of Durham, NC, on Friday, March 1, 2013. Born in Paterson, Anna had resided there for most of her life before moving to Hawthorne in 2003 and then Durham, NC in 2009.
A member of the Riverside Vets Women's Auxiliary and former parishioner of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Paterson, Anna worked as a key punch operator and later a supervisor for Singer-Kearfott in Wayne.
Anna was the beloved daughter of the late Pasquale and Agnes DeFlora and sister of the late Caroline Rovello, Leo De Flora, and Joseph De Flora. She was the loving aunt of Ellen De Flora of Durham, NC, Rebecca Connaghan of Columbia, MD, Susan Dederen of Dallas, TX, and Thomas De Flora of New York, NY and the dear grand aunt of Amanda and Katherine Connaghan, Mariel and Matthew Gampe, and Devin and Sean De Flora.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 2-4pm.
