MUNCIE--Berneice B. Emdee, 96, of Muncie, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 in her home. She was born March 18, 1911 in Harrodsburg, IN, to the late Newt and Nettie Barrett.
She was a homemaker and mother. She volunteered over 1000 hours at Ball Memorial Hospital and seven years at the Forrest Park Senior Center. She attended Four Square Gospel Church in Muncie and Eaton Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Ronna Minnick and Margo Barrick, both of Muncie; one son, Dan Emdee (wife-Ann) of Tampa, FL; four granddaughters, Lissa Johnson of Muncie, Candy McCormick of Muncie, Kris Passarelli (husband-Fabricio) of Speedway, and Erinn Laffoon (husband-Rich) of Greenwood; one sister, Jessie Stanley of Muncie; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Hoyte Stacey and Gordon Emdee; one son, James Stacey; one grandson, Hoyte Stacey; one granddaughter, Vickie Stacey; and one brother, Herb Barrett.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Parson Mortuary with Allie Craycraft officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Eaton. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
