John Robert Partridge, 61, of Coffeyville, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home.

He was born December 6, 1952 at Coffeyville to Robert Vaughn and Billie Francis (Bean) Partridge. John grew up and attended school in Coffeyville graduating from Field Kindley High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy retiring after 23 years of service.

In 1981 he married Loida Ventorozo, she preceded him in death in 1991. After retiring from the Navy John returned to Coffeyville in the early 1990's, and worked at Acme Foundry and American Insulated Wire.

John attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church, and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed playing poker and going to family cookouts.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Clark, and Jennifer Partridge both of Coffeyville; six brothers, Jim Howell, Mike Howell, Tony Sterk, Chris Sterk, Charley Sterk, and Joel Partridge; three sisters, Janie Hubbard, Joy Partridge, and Julie Partridge; and three grandchildren, Anthony Clark, Jessica Clark and Emma Clark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, and his parents.

A Memorial Service celebrating John's life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Fairview Cemetery Veterans Memorial Patio with Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1022 and American Legion Post #20.

The family suggests memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice; contributions may be left with the funeral home or mailed c/o David W. Barnes Funeral Home, 306 North Cline Road, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
