SHAFFER, Mrs. Eleanor Viola


OAKLAND -Mrs. Eleanor Viola Shaffer, 67, of Mason Street, died Saturday at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient nine days. Mrs. Shaffer was a native of Oakland a daughter of the late James and Queen (Tasker) Hardesty. She is survived by her husband, Leon Shaffer; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy White, Oakland; Mrs; Edna Raines, Cumberland; a sister, Mrs. Lacey Clark, Cumberland; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The body is at the Minnich Funeral Home where a service will be conducted today at 2 p. m. Rev. A. Billingsley will officiate and interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Monday, August 21, 1967, the Cumberland News.
