Pauline Elizabeth Smith, 40, passed away at the Midland Hospital on Tuesday, December 5. She had been in poor health for the past four years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Reigle Funeral Home. The Rev. Laurence Evoy of the Highwood Free Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be made in Highland cemetery.
Pauline E. Otey was born in Illinois on March 15, 1910. She was married to Edward Smith on October 29, 1932, in Robinson, Illinois. They came to live in Gladwin county, near Winegars, 14 years ago. Mrs. Smtih was a member of Methodist Leeper Chappel, in Robinson, Illinois.
Surviving are her husband, Edward; two sons, Charles Edwin, Jr., and Howard Leslie, at home; two daughters, Lea Joe and Sandra Sue, also at home; her mother, Mrs. Bertha Otey, of Hardinsville, Illinois; four brothers, Leo and Harold Otey of Robinson, Illinois, Gilbert Otey of Oklahoma and Kenneth Otey of Midland; four sisters, Mrs. Marguerite Heldt, Mrs. Mary Kernohon and Mrs. Sarah Ruth Howell, of Evonsville, Illinois, and Mrs. Ida Mae Jordon of Robinson, Illinois.
Pallbearers will be J. M. Gibson, Robert L. Tope, E. E. Brown, Max Oard, Frank Fenton and E. B. Jones. Gladwin County Record dated 12-6/1950
