He was born on September 9th, 1949 in Jefferson County, the son of the late Andrew and Annie (Duff) Cockerel. He was a member of the VFW 5710 in Shepherdsville and Moose Club in Henderson.
He is survived by three sisters, Glenda (Arnold) Smith of Reynolds Station, Pauline Hawkins (Ronnie) of Shepherdsville, Bonnie Smith of Texas, and one brother, Eddie Bozarth of Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he is proceeded in death by one brother, Paul Cockerel.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 4th at 2:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Jonathan Hodges will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
