LaNelle Swope Carlisle February 6, 1925 - March 30, 2014 LaNelle Swope Carlisle, Harker Heights, passed away in Temple, Texas on March 30, 2014, at the age of 89. Mrs. Carlisle was born in Bell County, Texas, on February 6, 1925, to William Ray Swope and Wilma Lee Gentry. She and William E "Dubb" Carlisle married May 10, 1943, in Los Angeles, California. They were married 57 years and had 3 children. Mrs. Carlisle was from a pioneer family in Central Texas and was a member of the Sam Houston Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She was a 6th generation Texan, loved her bluebonnets and all things Texas. She graduated from Killeen High School in 1942 and lived in Bell County most of her life. Mrs Carlisle was a member of the Central Christian Church, Killeen, Texas. Mrs Carlisle is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and infant son, David Bruce Carlisle and brother Billy Ray Swope. She is survived by her son and his wife, Bob and Barbara Carlisle, her daughter and her husband, Carolyn and Ross Martin, grandchildren Brian Falbo, Lisa Kubick, Bethany Vencill and Brooks Carlisle, 5 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Ma'Joyce Swope. Private graveside service is pending, In memoriam donations may be make to Central Christian Church.
