Juanita Hollis-Emerick, born December 22, 1943, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 4, 2014, at her home in Zephyrhills, Florida.

After a lifetime of caring for others, Nita, her husband Larry, and beloved dog Chans, moved to Florida 3 years ago to enjoy retirement and be near Nita's brother, Russell (Judith) Booth and Larry's son, Kevin. Having spent her working years caring for the mentally challenged and elderly, Nita retired and cared for her parents, William and Tonie Booth, for the last 8 years of their lives. She did all of this while assisting her sons as they raised their young families. Having raised four boys, Nita anxiously awaited the arrival of a girl to join the family, she was blessed with not one, but five in a row, Samantha, Jennifer, Chandler, Torrey, and Montana. After that she added another four grandchildren, all boys, Ethan, Nathan, Owen and Jack. Her three years in Florida were highlighted by visits from her family and summers fishing with Nathan and Owen. She will be remembered for her infinite skills as a Grandmother.

Preceded in death by her parents, William and Tonie Booth; sister, Loretta Mayfield; brother, Phillip Booth; and beloved dog, Wheezer.

She is survived by husband of 18 years, Larry, of Zephyrhills, Florida; proud sons, Garry (Diane), of Williamsport, PA, Barry (Maggi), of Green, William (Ami), of Green, and Dennis, of Tallmadge.

Calling hours will be Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N.
