Paul L. Boyer, 56, Altoona, died unexpectedly Saturday after a brief illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Dean Alfred and Virginia (Myers) Boyer Sr. On June 2, 1993, he married Lisa A. Wahl in Winchester, Va.
He is survived by his wife, at home; five daughters: Bobby Joe Strunk, Christina Rudy, Jennifer Moser, Angelica Knott and Tiffany Bott; four sons: Shaun Boyer, Robert Boyer, Joshua Crostley and Robert Boyer; three sisters: Sharon Gilliland, Kathy Williams and Michelle Baker; two brothers: Dean A. Boyer Jr. and Dale Boyer; many grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul L. Boyer Jr.
He was self-employed as a truck driver for many years.
Paul liked to cook and eat and being outdoors. He truly enjoyed being around his "furry children."
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Anthony P. Scaglione Funeral Home, 1908 Seventh Ave., Altoona.
