Herman Michael "Mike" Foster, 63, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, March 31, 2014 at New Prospect Baptist Church in Irwin County with the Rev. Steve Freeman, the Rev. Sonny Pate and Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 PM to 9 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Foster was born April 23, 1950 in Irwin County. He lived in the community all of his life and was a farmer. He loved his family dearly and was married to his beloved wife: Jean G. Foster for 45 years. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Jean G. Foster of Fitzgerald; children: Dawn F. Graybill and her husband, Mark of Ocala, Florida and Alan Foster of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Cory Rowell of Abbeville and BriAnna Rowell of Ocala, Florida; sister: Dolores F. Wiggins of Fitzgerald; his parents: Herman Foster and Cora Faye Burgess Foster both of Fitzgerald and several nieces and nephews also survive.
