Judge Vernon Ray, 68, of 421 Hooker St., Jackson, Miss., died Sunday afternoon January 27, 1974 in Baptist Hospital. Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from Baldwin Chapel, 732 Manship St. in Jackson with interment in Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Ray was born and reared in Winn Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys G. Ray, Jackson; one daughter, Mrs. Faye Brennan, Salt Lake City, Utah; one son, Lawrence Ray, Jennings, La.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Fannin and Mrs. Maggie Ross, Winnfield, LA.
