A Truly Remarkable And Loving Mother And Babcia.

Salomea (Sally) was the daughter of Mateus and Maryana Dziekan Steifer. Salomea was born in Wola Mielecka, Poland and arrived in the United States in 1900 with her mother and four sibblings. Her father arrived in US in 1898 With a cousin of his wife, Casmirus Krystofik who was Salomea's godfather .

Salomea had a brother, Wojciech (George) Steifer, Peter Staifer (Steifer), and Frank Staifer (Steifer).. In addition, Salomea had a sister Magdalen Steifer Kulig who is also buried in Transfiguration Cemetery and was a twin of Peter. Salomea was the mother of two sets of twins.

Although She Was Proud Of Her Polish Birth, She Always Wanted To Assimilate Into The American Culture. She Was Proud To Be An American Citizen.

Peter Ogorzalek married Salomea Steifer in 1901 at the Saint Staniislaus Catholic Church in Hazleton, Pennsylvania by Reverend Aust.
