Most internet sights show that Beersheba Vashti (Whitmire) Dixon died in 1856? However, I believe she is listed on 1860 and 1870 census records:

--- In 1850 her name is shown as Bertha Dixon along with William and 3 children (William H, Milly A, Mary Jane) in Santa Rosa County, FL
---In 1860 her name is shown as "Vasti" Dickson along with William and 4 children (William H, Milly A, Mary, Josephine) in Bastrop, County, TX.
---In 1870 her name is shown as "Bashte" Dixon along with William and 2 children (Mary Jane and Josephine) in Lavacca County, TX.

I believe that Beersheba Vashti (Whitmire) Dixon lived past 1870 and did not die as of 1856 (unless there are records of her death somewhere). I am not an expert, but I am a descendent. If you have any further clarification of her date of death, I would be glad to know more.

Beersheba married William Dixon in 1841 - Milton, FL.
In 1852, William and Beersheba moved from Florida to Bastrop, Texas (apparently to work on the railroad).
