Marjorie Mirlet Ehlers, 77, of Burlington, died at 10:07 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2001, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born April 26, 1924, in Sperry, she was the daughter of Clarence H. and Edna A. Schmidt Lucas.
Mrs. Ehlers was purchasing manager for Coppus-Murray for 38 years. She retired Jan. 1, 1991.
She was a 1941 graduate of Sperry High School, where she lettered in basketball, and a graduate of College of Commerce in Burlington. She was of the Protestant faith. She was a member of Illiamo Purchasing Association and its president from 1976 until 1977. She enjoyed her family, sports, latch hook and gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Greg Strandberg of West Bur-lington and Gary Strandberg of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Sherry Cooper of West Burlington; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Ehlers will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel, with Elder Suzan Strandberg officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Cemetery.
