Emma M. Martin, 79, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014, at a local medical center in Abilene.

Funeral services will be 10:00a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Elliott Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 S., Abilene. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the funeral home.

Emma was born on December 10, 1934, in Wastella, TX to Raymond and Irene Fullwood. She married George J. Martin on December 21, 1952 in Roscoe, TX.

As a part of her clothing mission work in South Africa, Emma made clothing for small children. She was a bookkeeper for Top Acidizers for 15 years before her retirement. Emma loved to cook, sew, and spend time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Donald Fullwood.

Survivors include her husband, George J. Martin of Abilene; her sons, Davis E. Martin and his wife, Delores of Paradise, TX; and Richard P. Martin and his wife, Brenda of Abilene, TX; a brother, Eugene Fullwood of Southwest Roscoe, TX; grandchildren, Luke Martin, Brad Martin, and Jana Hamby; great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Bryleigh Hamby, Brilynn and Presley Martin, and Chase and Britton Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice.
