Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Bellamy Lucas, age 62, of Madison, Indiana, Anna entered this life on December 31, 1951 in San Diego, California. She was the loving daughter of the late, Louis William and Suzanna Peddie Bellamy. Her early life was spent in Hoffman Estates, Illinois and later in Plymouth, Indiana. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and Ancilla College in Donaldson, Indiana. Anna had resided in Madison since the early 1970's. She was united in marriage to Bryan Lucas on April 11, 1992 in Madison. Anna had worked in merchandising for K-Mart for twenty five years. Anna's passion in life was writing and as her daughter stated, "she found her voice in her writing." Her book, Adytum, is a collection of poems written about her experiences in Madison, and was published in 2012. Anna was a faithful member of the Christ Episcopal Church in downtown Madison. She volunteered as a reading tutor for the Madison-Jefferson County public library and as a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Anna had a creative talent and enjoyed drawing, gardening, and exploring the outdoors. She served on the City of Madison Tree Board and held membership in Green River Writers. She was a devoted mother, caring friend, faithful Christian, and giving volunteer, but her favorite role was as loving Nana to her grandson, Max. Anna died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 8:54 a.m. at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit of Norton Pavilion in Louisville, Kentucky.

A LOVING FAMILY
Anna will be missed by her loving husband Bryan Lucas of Madison, Indiana; her daughter, Elizabeth Bellamy Sorba of Madison, Indiana; her adoring grandson, Maxwell Bellamy Sorba; three brothers, Bill Bellamy and his wife, Jeannette of Madison, Indiana, David Bellamy of Knightstown, Indiana, Mark Bellamy and his wife, Jennifer of Indianapolis, Indiana; her sister, Suzanna Hicks and her husband, Greg of North Manchester, Indiana; her nieces, Aja Bellamy, Sara Hicks, Morgan Hicks, and Emily Baumgardt; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis William and Suzanna Peddie Bellamy,and her brother, Jon Andrew Bellamy.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 2:30 p.m., by The Rev. Evelyn Wheeler, Rector at the Christ Episcopal Church, 506 Mulberry Street in downtown Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow at a later date in the Springdale Cemetery, 600 West Fifth Street in downtown Madison, Indiana

VISITATION
Friends may call Sunday from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
