Ann attended school in Union City and was a graduate of the vo-tech beautician school in 1979. She was employed at Elgin Labs, Erie Resistor, J.C. Penney, and the Erie Center on Health and Aging. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sokolowski in 1999; two brothers, John and R. Neil Alford; and three sisters: Hazel Colburn, Norma Gordon, and Mary Anderson.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Smith (Thomas) of Dale, Texas; one son, Michael Sokolowski (Kari) of Erie; two brothers, Nelson Alford (Ruth) of Post Falls, Idaho and Robert Alford (Ellen) of Erie; one sister, Martha Williamson of Union City; one granddaughter; and one grandson; along with seven great-grandchildren.
She will be buried at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
