Edna Lee Carter, of Harrison, died on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was 82 years old.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Holt Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 21, 2014.
Funeral service is Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. Pastor Bob Meredith will officiate. Interment will be in Sand Hill Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The daughter of Harrison Morton and Montie Mae (Middleton) Pratt was born January 26, 1932 in Searcy, AR. She was a devout Christian, a devoted homemaker, and loved to work in her yard. Edna attended Potters Hands Church.
Her husband, William E. "Buddy" Carter; one son, Carl Eugene Carter; her parents; and five brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons and their wives, David Leon and Cathryn Ann Carter, Jimmy Dale and JoAnn Carter, Teddy Leon and Carrie Carter, and Buddy and Denya Carter; two daughters, Lois June Christian, and Vickie Wright and her husband, Raymond; four brothers, Ephus, J.R., Leroy, and David Pratt; one sister, Sue Keys; 19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
