James Andis Sartor, 95, longtime musician and resident of Denison was called home Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Mr. Sartor was born November 30, 1918 in *Woodville, Oklahoma, the son of Andrew and Flora Sartor. He married the love of his life, Lorene Bentley, December 26, 1945 in Denison, Texas. She preceded him in death in 1984. He later remarried in 1989 and is survived by his wife Bernice Neal Sartor. Andis served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, during WWII as a Mortar Gunner in Rome, Southern France, Naples, Central Europe, and The Rhineland. He was a member of the Boyd Baptist Church of Bonham. Mr. Sartor dedicated his time during his later years to playing music for the senior citizens at the SNAP center in both Sherman and Denison. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

Andis leaves behind his beloved family, Daughters, Brenda Hansen and husband Jon, Judy Sartor all of Denton, and Sons, James Sartor and wife Chrissie of Denton, Daryl Sartor and wife Kay of Sherman. : Grandchildren: Jon Neil Hansen and wife Leigh Ann, James Ryan Sartor and wife Kaci, Alicia Rai Neal and husband Kevin. : Great-Grandchildren: Tiffany, Daniel, and Madison.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Home with his nephew Ray Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Preston Bend Cemetery. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Fisher Funeral Home.

Pallbearers for Mr. Sartor will be Jon Neil Hansen, James Ryan Sartor, Kevin Scott Neal, Mike Sexton, Dustin Sartor and Bobby Ray Richardson. Honorary Pallbearers will be RW Sartor, Wally Sartor, Lee Edward Sartor, Wayne Sartor, Dub Sartor and Garry Sartor.
