Youngest of 6 children educated in Lima township schools. Age 22 he taught in local schools 4 years. He continued helping his father on the farmstead home during vacations. Later he became owner of that farm. Stockholder of the inter county Telephone Company and Tarrant County Cooperative Creamery. Served as township clerk 22 years, and school clerk. Married Mary Forster Feb. 25 1895, she born Lima township. Her parents were born Austria. Mary and Lawrence were parents of 10 children, Ruth E., Annie, John, Irene M., Magaret, Richard C., Julia S., Daniel C., Susan R., Mary C., James L. Annie and John died young. Lawrence was a member of the Modern Woodmen, highly respected in Lima townshp.
