According to Robert's obituary, Joan died during the year 1977. She was identified in his obituary as Joan Law Hagen. Her brother was Brandon Lee; he resided in Altadena, California during July 1977.
Robert's three grandchildren were: Lee and Laurie Auckenthaler and Melissa Boober—all of Reno.
Considering that Joan was prominent in skiing and helped her father with the ski resort and was married to Joe Auckenthaler, her death notices would be fairly prominent in Reno's newspapers. UGH.
I searched through my online newspaper databases and had no success at finding any other death information on Joan. Please let me know anything, so that I can update the memorial and my personal files.
