David Elmer Brackin, 77, died Sunday, July 23, in his Union Twp. farm home, where he had resided with his sisters, Misses Vern and Margaret Brackin, for a month. He was born in Union Twp. October 3, 1861, the fifth of nine children of Richard and Sarah Jane Brackin. He was married to Ida Belle Davis of Dellroy on September 12, 1889, and to them four children were born. Until he moved to the farm, his home was in Dellroy. He is also survived by a daughter, Miss Clista of Canton; two sons, William and Willard of Dellroy; seven grandchildren; and another sister, Mrs. A. J. Johnson of Bedford. His wife and one daughter, Jennie, preceded him in death. Services were held Tuesday at the home and burial was in Grandview cemetery with Blazer and Graham in charge.
