Arthur B. Skaggs, 60, of 1425 Thirty-second street, a resident of Rock Island for 19 years, died at 6:30 o'clock this morning in his home after a lingering illness of heart disease.
He was born in Brighton, Ill., Jan. 8, 1878, a son of the late George and Florence Skaggs. He was reared and educated in Grand Island, Neb., and married Miss Eva Deputy in Williamsburg, Kan., in November, 1915. His wife died five years ago.
Mr. Skaggs had been ill about ten years. He was a plumber by trade, and was a member of the Latter Day Saints church and Rock Island lodge of Moose.
Surviving are two sons, Warren E. and Robert Skaggs, and a daughter, Mrs. Archie S. Lea, all of Rock Island.
The body was taken to the Hodgson mortuary pending funeral arrangements.

Funeral services for Arthur B. Skaggs, 60, of 1425 Thirty-second street, who died yesterday, will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Hodgson mortuary. The Rev. E.L. Williams of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be A.J. Gray, L.A. White, August F. Eggert, Harry Kruge, Charles Rairdon and Harry Lovett.
