Monitor - L D Lenon, son of Monitor pioneers, died Saturday in a Mount Angel nursing home. He was 90.

Lenon was born in Monitor, where his mother had settled in 1853. He ran the Monitor General Store from 1917 to 1945 and opened Lenon Implements, a farm implement dealership, in Monitor in 1925. The firm is still being run by his grandson, Tom Tweed.

Lenon is survived by widow Flora, Tweed and a granddaughter.

Interment will be in Mt. Crest Abbey Mausoleum, Salem.
