LOTTIE V. CRONE CHILDERS, 97, of Beverly Healthcare of Hagerstown, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Washington County Hospital. Born Oct. 29, 1907, in Elkton, Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah Jane Bailey Fielding.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Leroy Crone, and her second husband, Frank Mitchell Childers.

She was employed by G.C. Murphy Co. in Silver Spring, Md., retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia J. Gooding and Jane E. Souders, both of Hagerstown, and Mary Ann Ruse of Florida; one brother, Randolph F. Crone of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren; and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy L. Jones; two sons, Edward L. Crone and Ralph W. Crone; and sisters and brothers.

Services were held at the Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
