He was born on March 12, 1927 to the late James Oliver and Jeannette (nee Green) Ryan in Salem, KY.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the World War II. He was an avid outdoorsman and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, reading and boating. Jim was along-time member of the Masonic Newburgh Lodge #379 F & AM.
He is survived by his loving daughter Randy Klebowski and son James Ryan, Jr.; treasured grandchildren Kyle (Emily), Jamie (fiancé Cody) Ryan, Michael, James (Samantha) and Cassie (David) Dietrich; cherished great-grandchildren Tyler, Rylynn and Jo Marie; and sister Helen Riley.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ernestine, grandson Ryan Klebowski and son-in-law Joseph Klebowski.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 4-8pm at Waite and Son Funeral Home (3300 Center Road, Brunswick 44212).
Service will be held on Saturday at 10am at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village (615 Som Center Road).
