Born March 24, 1920, in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late Ramey Davis Hundley and Roxie Stegall Hundley. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 59 ½ years, James Lewis Fox and a sister, Lillian H. Lamkin.
Mable was a member of Pocahontas Bassett Baptist Church where the funeral service, originally scheduled for 11 A.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, has been rescheduled for 1 P.M., with the Rev. Dr. Jim Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park, Martinsville.
Surviving is her son Wayne Eanes and his wife Shirley of Fieldale, granddaughter Suzanne Ponder and her husband Kevin of Tampa, FL, and sisters Virginia H. Waldron and her husband Lee of Roanoke and Frances H. Gourley of Goldsboro, NC.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pocahontas Bassett Baptist Church General Fund, P.O. Box 507, Bassett, VA 24055. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 P.M. on Monday, at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett.
