Albert Bunting German of Sellersville died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Quakertown Center Nursing Home. He was 91.

He was the husband of Betty June (Long) German for 68 years. Both were lifetime residents of Bucks County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John German Sr. and Etta Scott; his brother, John, and sisters Edna Yates and Mildred Antrobus; and his youngest son, Glenn in 2010.

Being the son of a local dairy farmer, Albert spent many years working at Kunkel Farm with his family in Newtown.

He always did things himself. Without the use of power tools and using the headlights of his car for illumination, he was able work into the early hours of the morning building his family home, also in Newtown.

As well as being a hard working dairy farmer, Albert spent time in Korea after being drafted into service by the U.S. Army in September of 1946.

He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him and will be missed.

In addition to his wife, Albert is survived by his son, Greg, daughter, Linda; brother, Walter, and sisters, Alice Scheets and Betty Dishmon. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service noon Wednesday, March 19, at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1680 Aquetong Road, New Hope, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
