Myrle Lora Roberts Bennett Jacobs 89, Indianapolis, passed away March 7, 2004. Myrle was born on May 24, 1914 in Bishop, Texas to James and Mary Roberts. Myrle was a nurses aid then a clerk in central supply at Community Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Emerson Avenue Baptist Church and was very active in the church. Services will be held Thursday, March 11 at 10 a.m. in Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., with visitation on Wednesday, March 10 from 4 until 8 p.m. Myrle was preceded in death by her husband, Alden Jacobs; brothers, Jay, John and Bill; sisters, Lucille, Dorothy and Jennie. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Marilyn Bennett; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Helen and Bob Jones; sisters, Robbie Dodson, Hazel Cavanass; brother, James Roberts; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association .
