Harry Leonard Laval Sr, 50, of 630 Holly Street, died at the Veterans Hospital Saturday after a short illness.
He was born in Greenville, a son of the late William Lawrence and Elizabeth Ling Dorrah Laval. He had made his home in Columbia most of his life.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs Harry L Laval, Jr.; one daughter, Miss Judy Ling Laval, all of Columbia; one sister, Mrs J W Wilson of Union ad an aunt, Mrs Harry S Laval of Columbia, with whom he made his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Monday from the Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel by the Rev W A Jackson. Intermet will follow in Greelaw Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be: Rudy Oswald, Kirby Higbe, Richard McGreary, Bee Harper, K K Outzs, Bill Outzs, W C Dorrah, Eugene Dorrah and John Henry Dorrah. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Richland Post No 6 of the American Legion and all members of the 193 American Legion Baseball Team of which he was a member.
The family wil be at 303 S Saluda Avenue.
