RUTH E. (HASLAM) BADER of Highland.
August 8, 1930 - March 5, 2014

Ruth passed away on March 5, 2014 due to complications of Polio and Dementia at home with her family by her side. Ruth was born in Old Town, CA. near San Jacinto, August 8,1930. She was the youngest of five children, born to John J. and Janet Ferris Haslam, one of the original pioneer families who farmed in the Sage and Winchester areas. Ruth's spent her formative years in San Jacinto, CA before moving to Hemet, CA where she graduated high school. Ruth met her future husband Bob, on a blind date in the fall of 1946 and they were married in the summer of 1948. She and her new family left the San Jacinto Valley in 1954 and moved to Del Rosa, CA. and then to Highland,CA in 1965 where they remained. Primarily a homemaker, Ruth worked part time at the former Norton Air Force Base Officers Club in San Bernardino, Swan Lake Country Club and at the Redlands Country Club before retiring in 1976.

Ruth precedes her husband of 65 plus years. Survivors include her children Eilene Sinnigen of Palm Desert, Leonard of Highland, Robert E of Rialto, and Amber Drysdale of Redlands; grandchildren Shawn, Matthew, Lucas, Joshua, Scott, Ivy, Leslie, and Brian and great grandchildren Joseph, Elijah, Lucian, Lucinda, Garret and Roarke.

A memorial service will be held at The Mission Church, 301 Cajon Street, Redlands on March, 22, 2014 at 11.00 AM. Her ashes will be placed in the Ferris family plot at the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery.
