Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial for Aleus Credeur, Jr., age 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, in the St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the St. Leo Mausoleum. Father Ken Domingue will celebrate the Mass.
Aleus was a native of Arnaudville and longtime resident of Leonville. He served 7 years in the Army National Guard. He earn Circle of excellence for truck driving. He died on Monday, March 10, 2014, at his home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, of 48 years Mrs. Olida Bergeron Credeur, of Leonville, his children, Kirk Credeur wife, Cora of Arnaudville, Kent Credeur wife, Claudella of Bossier City, LA., Margreat (Meg) Credeur Deville husband, Gil of Washington, brother, J.N. Credeur, Sr. wife, Hilda of Arnaudville, sister, Rose Credeur Laneaux of Scott, nine grandchildren, Logan Credeur, Gabrielle Credeur, Savanah Frazier, Tanya Credeur, Mark Credeur, Amber Van Winkle, Gil Deville III, Olivia Deville and Joshua Deville, 1 great grandchild, Kaden Van Winkle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aleus Credeur Sr. and Denze Credeur, brothers, J.B., Jessie and Calvin Credeur, sister, Verna Dunn White.


Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m.
The rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be, Kirk Credeur, Kent Credeur, Robert Credeur, Mark Credeur, Gil Deville Jr., and Gil Deville III.

Honorary: Joshua Deville, Jack Frazier, and Jordi Van Winkle.
