Virgie D. Hopper Hall , 90, of Bartlett, retired grocer for Downing Grocery, died Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Forest Hill Funeral Home East with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. She was a 43-year member of First Assembly of God. Mrs. Hall , the widow of W. Raymond Hopper and Estes Hall , leaves two daughters, Jean Miller of Delray Beach, Fla., and Gwen Hopper Lee of Germantown; two sons, Raymond Hopper of Brandon, Miss., and Mark Hopper of Bartlett; a sister, Leola Stroupe of Viola, Ark.; a half-brother, Ernie Downing of Hornbeak, Tenn., 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Springfield (Mo.) Assembly of God Foreign Missions Department.
