Corinth—Detlef Boerner, 21, son of Mrs. Lena Boerner, Liberty St., died at 9 a.m. today in Saratoga Hospital. He was the victim of leukemia and had been under treatment at the hospital about three weeks. Previous to that time he had been ill only about a week at his home here. He was born Aug. 2, 1918 in Corinth and with the exception of three years, spent his life here. He attended Corinth High School. After three years in the U. S. Army, he received his honorable discharge last December as private in the Coast Artillery at Fort Hancock, N.J.
Surviving besides his mother are two brothers, Otto Boerner, this village, and Henry Fedders of New York City. Arrangements for the funeral had not been made at noon. The body has been removed to the Densmore Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held there. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, New York City.
