Peter Jay Cramer, 76, of 1523 Quincy Ave. Falls Church, Va., and formerly of Verona, died yesterday at the home of his son, Norman S. Cramer in Arlington, Va., after a short illness.
He was born in the Town of Verona, April 21, 1881, the son of Peter B. and Jennie Dann Cramer and graduated from Verona High School in 1900. He married the former Mary Stanford, Aug 25, 1906 in Verona. Mrs. Cramer died in Falls Church about a month ago.
Mr. Cramer taught school a few years and then farmed for several years before he left Verona in 1939. He retired in 1942 as a superintendent of the White Horse Milk Corp., in West Bend, Wis.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Verona, a member of Oneida Lodge, F&AM and was a past president of Rotary International of West Bend, Wis.
Surviving are two sons, Norman Cramer in Arlington, Va., and Francis B. Cramer, Newark, Del.; two brothers, William J. Cramer, Vallejo, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Snow, Oneida, and several grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 P.M. Monday at the Whitford Edkin Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida, with the Rev. Willis E. Danks, Pastor of the Verona Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be Verona Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 P.M.
