Alma Mary (Chisholm) McLeod, 81, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 at home. She was born in Springfield on April 14, 1932, a daughter of the late Thomas and Loretta (Beauvais) Chisholm. Alma worked for 27 years at Ludlow Hospital and retired in 1990 as the Dietary Supervisor. She was predeceased by her first husband, Reginald Daigneault, her second husband, Arthur Birch, her son, Reginald Daigneault Jr., and her daughter, Diane Garrison. Alma is survived by her husband; four children, of Ludlow, Chicopee and Springfield; a daughter in law of Springfield; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild; a brother of Chicopee; three sisters, of Florida, and South Hadley; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 4th from 4-7 p.m. at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. Indian Orchard. Burial will be private.
