Linda Adkins, age 58 of Norman, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 in Pauls Valley. Linda Diane South was born March 19, 1955 in Oklahoma City, OK, the baby of 8 children born to Lee Roy South and Juanita (Oliva) South. She was raised in Oklahoma City and attended school there, graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1973. Linda met a young man from Norman, OK named Larry Alvin Adkins. They fell madly in love and were married on June 7, 1975 in OKC. They made their home in Noble, where together they raised 2 children; son Tim and daughter, Christi. Linda worked for O.G.&E. for more than 37 years. She loved her work; however her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She looked forward to family get together, cookouts, fish frys and really just enjoyed catching up and visiting. She was an avid reader and never missed an opportunity to go shopping. Linda was a faithful Christian and longtime member of the Liberty Gospel Tabernacle in Noble. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Larry Adkins in November of 2012; Her parents, Lee Roy and Juanita South and A sister, Carolyn South.

Linda leaves behind: Her son, Tim Adkins of Lawton; Daughter, Christi Richmond and husband Charlie of Noble; 3 brothers, Buddy Southand wife, Patsy, Billy South and Ralph South and wife Teresa, all of OKC; 3 sisters, Virginia Bain and husband Ronald of Noble, Maudie Davis and husband Roger of OKC and Brenda Chavez of OKC; 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Austyn; Several cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
