LEO S. CAREY

Leo S. Carey of 436 West Lake Rd., passed away at his home in Geneseo Sunday, Mar. 20. He was born Sept. 5, 1897, the son of Samuel and Mary Elizabeth Luce Carey.

Mr. Carey was a rural mail carrier for many years.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, World War I. A member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Slade Carey; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Betty) Smith, Geneseo, Mrs. Harold (Doris) Whitney, Groveland, Mrs. James (Phyllis) Alessio, Seneca Falls; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Popp, Cranford, N.J., Mrs. Weston (Elizabeth) Pickett, Honeoye; one brother, George Carey Rahway, N.J.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Rector Funeral Chapel, Geneseo, Tuesday followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Geneseo. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.

Masses may be offered for the repose of his soul or memorials made to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity.
