Mrs Emma Ewing, 93, pioneer resident of the Tuttle community, died Tuesday, Jan 11, in the Eventide nursing home in Chickasha.
She was born in Missouri, 1/13/1878. The Ewings came to the Amber-Tuttle community in 1912. They lived on a farm 6 miles south of Tuttle. Her husband, Hiawatha Ewing, passed away 11/25/1935. The funeral service will be Friday at 2:30pm, at the Christian church with Bro Carl Polsley officiating.
Survivors are 3 sons, Frank of Oklahoma City, Orville of Tuttle, & Alva of Cement, 1 daughter, Mrs Elsie Long of Moravia, Iowa, 1 brother, Frank Cox of Amber, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, & 23 great-great grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction of the Sevier Tuttle funeral home.
