Wilmer David Joseph Faigle, 89, of Keokuk, died at 8:30 AM Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Lexington Square in Keokuk, Iowa.

Mr. Faigle was born July 28, 1917 in Morning Sun, Iowa, the son of Charles W. and Alberta Cummings Faigle. He married Lena Eckhardt on May 28, 1955 at the First Methodist Church in Burlington, Iowa. He was employed IAAP and then moved to Keokuk in 1955 and worked at Sheller-Globe as a laborer. He was baptized in Sharon Reformed Presbyterian Church, transferred to Trinity United Methodist Church in 1955, where he was a member of Home Builders Class. He was a member of the Methodist Men's Club, served on evangelism and social concerns. He was a member of Sheller -Globe Retirees Club, graduated from Parsons College. He was a member of the Retired Senior Citizen Bowling League and quit bowling last year.

He is survived by his wife, Lena Faigle of Keokuk, Iowa; a son, Theodore (Ted) Faigle of Marlborough, Massachusetts; two sisters, Florence Enhorning of Burlington, Iowa and Ruth Pitzer and her husband, Charles, of Burlington, Iowa; one brother-in-law, Willard Eckhardt of Clinton, Missouri; several cousins; six nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were, August 25, 2006 at 10:30 AM at DeJong's Funeral Home with Dr. Emmanuel Dass officiating. Burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park.
