Carl D. Jones, the son of Eston J. and Hanna (Schweistahl) Jones, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 17, 1903, and passed away at Carson City, Nevada, on September 17, 1982, at the age of 79 years and 2 months.

Carl grew up in Aurora and attended the Aurora Public Schools.

He worked with his father in the plumbing and heating business until 1942 when he moved to California. On November 10, 1924, he was united in marriage to Vera May Taylor at Aurora, Nebraska. After a short time there they moved to Carson City, Nevada where he worked as a real estate broker, a mortgage banker and general contractor.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Lions Club in Carson City, Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, Howard, Ivan, Ralph and Clifton and sisters, Ada Kissel, Delpha Cogil and Elma Hiatt.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, James Jones of Carson City, Nevada, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
