CREEGAN, Mrs. Lucy Simpson

Mrs. Lucy Creegan - Mrs. Lucy Margaret Creegan, 87, widow of Edward F. Creegan, died yesterday at her home, 437 Henderson Avenue. She was a native of Cumberland, a daughter of the late James and Johanna (Hensey) Simpson. Mrs. Creegan was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Sodality of the parish and the Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are five sons, Edward F. Creegan, Davis, W. Va.; Bernard D., Jerome P. and John H. Creegan, all of here, and Gerald M. Creegan, Richmond, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha M. Burns, Ranson, W. Va.; Mrs. Katherine J. McKenzie, at home, and Mrs. Rose Slatcher, Silver Spring. Two brothers, Robert Simpson, Brooklyn, N.Y. and Albert, Midland; three sisters, Miss Emily Simpson, Midland; Mrs. Hannah Sorter and Mrs. J.A. Sommerville, Woodbury, N.J., 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Silcox Funeral Residence, where the rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. and friends received from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. A requiem mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
