Eventually, Robert took over his father's dairy farm. Six years later he was married to Evelyn Albertine Betha Zaddock (on 27 July 1935) at St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes, WI. They took in four children and provided them with a home and elementary education at St. John Lutheran School. They farmed until 1964. Both were Oconto County Deputy Sheriffs, and caretakers at Chute Lake County Park until their retirement and move to the village of Suring, WI.

Robert Fred Schuettpelz, 93, Suring, died at Woodland Village on December 3, 1999' He was born September 6, 1906 in the Township of How (Oconto County) to the late Ernst and Margaretta (Hischke) Schuettpelz. Bob attended Hayes Brook School and was confirmed at St. John Church in 1918. He married Evelyn Zadoock July 27, 1935 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hayes.
Robert was a Town Board Supervisor for 10 years, and a Charter member of the Suring Area Firefighters. Robert also was a Deputy Sheriff for Oconto County for 11 years. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Church and had served as President, Church Elder, and School Board Member.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn; his sister, Justine Reicheit of Suring; one sister-in-law, Pearl Schuettpelz of Suring; one brother-in-law, Norman Schuettpelz of Racine; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring. Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
