The family lived at 1238 South 2nd West in Salt Lake City.
The night of October 21, 1923, the family was driving in their car near 8th West and 21st South. Cora's husband failed to see an approaching electric train, and the auto was struck.
Cora's husband and 3-year-old daughter Marion died instantly, while Cora and her 15-month-old daughter Mary were brought to the County Hospital. Cora passed away a few minutes after arriving. Her surviving daughter escaped the accident with a broken leg.
Cora, George, and Marion were buried together in the Salt Lake City Cemetery on October 25, 1923.
